It was ok
This home with rented out rooms was different. The bathtub hose did not latch to top of the water pipe so one had to hold the handle the whole time and water pressure was so high water sprayed everywhere! The window in the bedroom had a pull down curtain which they said it was blacked out but in reality one could see everything inside the room! The windows in the kitchen had no curtains nor privacy so the surrounding houses could see everything! The door to the room had a crack so if someone wanted to peak through the crack you could see some of the inside of the room. The area was very shady .. houses in the front were boarded up. The apartment was cozy and we made the most of it

Charming
I spent a Christmas weekend here with my husband. It was perfect for the two of us. We were able to get groceries and cook food there since everything was closed. The TV was in a great place to hang out on the bed and watch movies. It definitely has some old house quirks but nothing that was an issue. Parking in the back was nice. The neighborhood was fairly quiet.
Only suggestions I have for the owner are to add some instructions for the oven/stove and have a pan for cooking in the oven. I didn’t realize I had to manually light it (they did provide a lighter) and started it. I quickly realized I smelled gas and turned it off.
