Bring earplugs! (across the street from church with loud bells). Beautiful old building lovingly cared for in a great location that should be explored by car. 40 euro cab ride from central station. Comfy, clean room, nice staff. Pay close attention to check in instructions. Door locked after 8pm.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is in a small, quiet, and historic village. Like many hotels in Germany, this did not have A/C, but the owner of the hotel was incredibly gracious and attentive.
Checkin is only for 1 hour/day. Then an automated way to get your key is fine IF you have access to your email the day of arrival in order to get directions and an access code after-hours. This should have been said ahead of time.
Towels are quite thin. And you sleep on plastic mattress covers, which I hate. Clearly a 2 star hotel. It's fairly clean.
