Beautiful hotel and grounds in a great area, within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and riverside walk. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was superb with no wait. The hotel is a little run-down and needing investment but that was reflected in the price I paid; the overall experience and service was first rate.

We didn’t end up staying here. The outside of the hotel looked so grotty, nothing like the photos, so we left and found somewhere else to stay.

Plenty of parking. We had a family room which was lovely and comfortable! A king size bed and a good size single. It was lovely and warm, plenty of hot water and large fluffy towels. We had a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning, food was plentiful and lovely quality. We would definitely stay there again.

Whilst the room was clean, it was very small and dated. Repairs already done require finishing, paintwork, screws etc. Bathroom tiny, nowhere to put anything and shower curtain a definitely 'no no'. Very dated and much tlc required. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast quality good but very limited choice. No inviting bar area available. Lovely building but requires a lot of tlc and maintenance. Sorry but won't be staying again.
