Escapada al río Mississippi (estadía mínima de 2 noches)

Spirit Mound es una cabaña / cabaña de dos pisos, situada en un área de bosque residencial en el acantilado en el lado este del río Mississippi a lo largo de la carretera 35 "Great River Road". La cabaña / cabaña está modificada con un marco en A con un área de descanso parcialmente abierta tipo "Loft" (sin puertas de dormitorio) dividida por un baño cerrado y una escalera. Spirit Mound tiene todas las comodidades del hogar con toda la mística de Mighty Mississippi y divertidas actividades familiares a poca distancia en auto. An amazing cabin for a weekend away

We absolutely loved staying at this rental. It was clean, cozy, easy to access and secluded. It was very comfortable- there were plenty of kitchen supplies, towels, and little touches to make you feel right at home. When a repair took place, the communication was transparent and we weren't inconvenienced in the slightest. The cabin is near wonderful hiking paths and a short drive from basic needs like groceries, gas, and firewood. I would highly recommend this rental if you'd like a quiet weekend away.

River Getaway

What a great weekend for us. Cabin was great - nothing was forgotten by the host! Beautiful setting, peaceful. Centrally located among the local towns/ attractions. We hope to stay again. Only the two of us, but easily take care of a family of 6. Not a single complaint or concern.

Family stay

We had 5 people aged from 6-84! The cabin was cozy and perfect. We went to PDC for the day and had a great time. The cabin had all we needed for the stay! We do wish it was less windy so we could have had a fire outside!

Great place in the driftless area

We greatly enjoyed our stay. This cabin met all of our needs very well and we appreciated the attention to detail shown with things like extra supplies, charging cords, and labels on the cabinets. The only thing I would caution is the tall step to get into the tub/shower. This wasn’t a problem for us but I can see where it might cause some issues for some. The trains were actually a lot better than the ones at home because there were no crossings nearby thus no train horns (there are at least five in our small town). Highly recommend this cabin.

Great cabin!

Spirit Mound did not disappoint and was exactly as advertised! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our 27 year anniversary in this cabin. Great location just north of PDC. We enjoyed the nearby attractions and dining. Dan and Jan did a great job of the overall organization and decoration of the cabin incorporating the local history. And if you forgot to bring something from home, they most likely have thought of that too. If you like the outdoors and wildlife, this is the place to stay!

Very clean, very comfortable, very quiet

Wonderful little two-bedroom cabin. Super clean, nicely furnished, check-in couldn't have been simpler. Aside from the occasional train - a sound that we enjoyed - it was very quiet. Lots of birds, deer, and burial mounds on the property. We were headed to Wyalusing and Effigy Mounds Nat'l Monument, so that was a nice surprise.

Spirit Mound Cabin, Ferryville WI

From the moment we booked our trip, to the stay and our departure, we had nothing but a great experience. Our host was very friendly and informative. There were no surprises and we had plenty of information from the host. The cabin was exactly as promised and even better than we expected. Anything and everything you would need is provided in the cabin and it was immaculate. The property was beautiful with plenty of room to lounge on the deck or sit by the fire pit and relax. You can hear the road traffic from down the hill and when the trains pass by down the road it is pretty loud but other than that it was very peaceful and relaxing. We would highly recommend Spirit Mound and plan on coming back to stay sometime in the future.

Mississippi river get away

The setting was great, very clean home. We should have been informed there would be no wifi or tv service, the dvd play and selection of movies was very good however. Also, the only toilet made a constant running noise and the left side stove top burner did not function properly. Otherwise we did enjoy the peace and quite of the place during our stay. The train and bird sounds were nice and the closeness to the river was enchanting.

Love this getaway

Very clean secluded mostly quiet ( except some train traffic). The cabin is amazingly stocked with everything you could possibly need. If you love the beautiful scenery like we did and some hiking this is the place to be .

Clean, comfy, private…a perfect getaway.

When we arrived, we found a clean, beautiful cabin, just as pictured. Everything we need was provided. The local guide provided was very helpful m. The beds were comfortable. We loved sitting by the fire in a stunning setting. The train that runs by is loud. But it didn’t ruin our fun and didn’t bother us sleeping or anything. It’s just a good heads up to know it’s there. Thanks so much! We would love to come back

Cozy, well-stocked cabin in a beautiful area

Jan really pulled out the stops to make sure anything you might need was there. We stayed during a "typical" Wisconsin fall, so it was hot when we started our visit and cold (in the 40s overnight) by the time we left, so we got to try the AC and ceiling fans as well as the heater - both heating and cooling worked great. We enjoyed being in between a bunch of great parks - Pike's Peak, Effigy Mounds National Monument, Wyalusing, and Yellow River National Forest. I appreciated how responsive Jan was to our questions and she had some great suggestions for local events and attractions!

Great experience

Me and my work crew came up for a fishing trip. This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. It was very clean, up to date, and well taken care of. Jan went above and beyond with everything at this property. If you forgot anything at home, it was guarenteed to be there. Will definately book again.
