I’m honestly shocked at how this hotel is rated. Whoever is giving exceptional reviews must not know what a proper hotel experience should feel like. On the night of December 4th, 2025, the front-desk staff member working that shift was extremely disrespectful. That interaction alone made the stay uncomfortable, and someone with that attitude shouldn’t be dealing with guests at all. The rooms are noisy — highway sound comes straight in, making it hard to sleep peacefully. Breakfast is very basic and feels like it’s there just for the sake of offering something. Many times the breakfast attendant wasn’t even present, and we had to request scrambled eggs. The carpets are dated, and overall the hotel does not feel worth the price. On the positive side, the daily room-cleaning service was excellent. The housekeeping team over the last two days was welcoming, helpful, and did a great job. Coffee is available 24 hours, which is a good touch, and the breakfast area at least offers a variety of coffee options. If management actually put effort into improving service and breakfast quality, this place could be better. But as of now, I’m very disappointed and will not be returning.

Terrible Experience – Money Stolen & Zero Accountability - DONT EVER STAY HERE I stayed at the Best Western Rutgers Hotel and discovered after returning home that $75 USD had been stolen from my bag. I reported it to the hotel and was told someone would investigate and call me back. No one ever did. When I followed up myself, the front desk staff (Luke) dismissed my concern, implied I’d “left the money somewhere else,” and told me to file a police report , even after I explained I’m not a U.S. resident. No transparency, no investigation shared, no accountability. I’ve stayed at hotels around the world and have never experienced theft or such unprofessional, defensive customer service. This was my first time staying at a Best Western and likely my last.
