From the moment I checked in it was fabulous! Friendly and very inviting place that is quaint and in an amazing location in Cowichan Bay. Just far enough away from the main street and it's business - walking distance so no worries about having to bring a vehicle to explore the village. Clean and the room was exceptionally nice. Newly renovated suite with 2 queen beds and a kitchenette. The room was equipped with more than enough towels, pots, cutlery, coffee and they even had splenda which made me very happy. Very quiet, the view from one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on was the ocean. I literally sit up in my bed in the morning and see the ocean. Hearing the sea lions right from my room is pretty awesome, it's high season for them at the moment in Cowichan Bay and the reason many people come around this time of year. I will not stay anywhere else in Cowichan Bay except this little gem! I even extended my stay! Great Job to this small team for the best stay ever!

Had a very happy and kind welcome from Michael and were very impressed by a wonderful view and renovated room in room 42. So much fun watching the sea lions on the pier, and great dining at the Cook and Butcher, a 5 minute walk away. Would for sure recommend!

A hidden gem! We were greeted with such a positive individual who made it clear he really cared about the place and our experience. The newly renovated room overlooking the ocean was definitely a gift! We will defiantly return to this place for future travels.

Ocean view was beautiful. We crossed the street & the ocean was right there. We could see boats, marina, hear wildlife & see them also see people living in homes on the ocean. Staff was helpful & we had a nice renovated room with everything we needed. If you stay here you're close to Chemainus Theatre which you don't want to miss. It's a wonderful Theatre.

This is not a hotel or motel Property has been converted to long term living for displaced and transient people and families. They keep a few rooms open for overnight hotel guests but almost all the people are living there. Smokers bench by the parking lot is super creepy. You are constantly being watched by the residents.

The owner of hotel is very friendly and will make sure you have everything you need. They are trying very hard to renovate/improve this hotel. We had a renovated room which was clean and bed/bedding good. If you just need a safe, clean friendly place without all the bells and whistles you found your stay.

While room was clean and you can see attempts to maintain care and condition. The rooms are tired. I would recomend because water is close by with shops and some restaurants in walkable distance.
