This was perfect! Set back away from the main house right by the river. We had the most amazing firefly show along with the Strawberry Moon while in the hot tub!

Magical Indeed

This trip was absolutely magical. Just off the beaten path, this yurt is next to a creek and the views from the hot tub are great day and night. We had some issues with the wifi, but there’s so much to do day and night we didn’t end up needing it. Definitely worth it to rent the ATV. Jodee was attentive, responsive and created an atmosphere to remember.

Magical yurt!

We loved our stay! We were expecting to “rough it” a bit more than we did, it really was very comfortable and modern. Twinkle lights and candles and delightful decorations everywhere. We loved hearing the rain at night and being so close to the creek. The hot tub was awesome! Highly recommend

Short Anniversary Trip

My partner booked for a 2 night stay for our first anniversary together and were pleasantly surprised with how quaint and comfortable the yurt was. It was very well stocked with kitchen supplies and little unnecessary nick-naks that showed the owner's attention to detail that makes the whole experience feel more intimate and comfortable for guests.There is always hot water and very spacious bath tub. It gets really cold at the top of the yurt when the sun sets and really hot when it comes back up but you can set AC units to compensate. There was a stink bug problem when I was there (mid October) but they're harmless and easy to catch. They like the warm spots so check windows and loft. All in all, it was a great little trip. Try going down to the creek to get stones for painting with the chalk markers provided and watch the stars come out from the hot tub.

Peaceful

We rented this place for our 23rd wedding anniversary. We never had a honeymoon and this experience was exactly what we wanted! It was beautiful, clean, quiet, and peaceful. Great location! It was only a 30 minute drive to downtown Floyd and a 5-10 minute drive to Hillsville. The host was very helpful, kind, and considerate! Easy checkin and checkout. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Enjoyable Yurt in the Mountains

We were really impressed with the area, the Yurt, and the location of the property. It was very scenic and quite private, while enjoying the bubbling creek from the attached deck and comfy chairs. Inside, it was nicely appointed and very welcoming for my wife and I on our 21st Anniversary get-away from Coastal Virginia. Not many Yurts will have such nice and upgraded amenities like the pellet stove, luxury tub and shower, the loft bedroom, and of course the outdoor hot tub. Perfect for the two of us. The views and surrounding areas were fantastic; close to hikes, and some neat places to enjoy eating out in Floyd, Hillsville or Galax. The host was very accommodating and was quick to respond to us if needed. My wife and I especially enjoyed how inclusive and welcoming the host were and is reflected by this wonderful Yurt VaCa.

Fabulous Yurt!!

When we walked inside we were utterly amazed. It is absolutely beautiful!! So perfect for a special, quiet getaway. Everything you can possibly need is already there. Jodee is so nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to go back. Next time we plan to stay longer and do some exploring on the hiking trails. I posted pictures on Facebook and now all my friends want to know where we were and all the info on how to book a stay. Fabulous!!!

Weekend getaway

This was great place for a quick getaway from Charlottesville. The wood stove was great for the winter weather as was the hot tub! The yurt was so nicely curated and well fitted. The bed was also very comfortable. We fully enjoyed our time here and it was great to be able to bring our dog as well.

Beautiful and warm stay

The best yurt we have stayed in by far. So clean and had great heating. Hot tub was clean and perfect in the cold weather. Two sweet dogs on the property was a huge plus along with the creek. No light pollution so the stars were insane. Will be staying here again!

Very cozy and such picturesque views! Every morning, watching the sunrise was beautiful! Yurt had everything we needed and the host was so sweet and accommodating! 10/10 would recommend and 100% will be back!

5th Year Wedding Anniversary

We booked the Water Spirit Yurt for our 5th year wedding anniversary and it was AMAZING. We stayed 3 nights and it wasnt enough time lol......my wife and I will definitely be back. AWESOME PLACE HANDS DOWN!!!!!

Enchanting!!!!

There is nothing negative I could write about JoDee or her magical yurt. From the moment my husband and I walked in the door we were in love with this place. We don't typically get time to relax but we definitely felt reenergized after just 1 whole day there. Neither of us wanted to leave and have decided to make this an annual anniversary trip (more than 2 nights next time). The pix online don't truly reflect how perfect this property is. JoDee went above and beyond with all the special touches. By far our favorite rental and for sure our best anniversary!! You won't regret booking this place and will love every l minute you spend here. Thank you JoDee!!
