Le Saint-Loup - DRACY SAINT LOUP

Nathalie & Benoît welcome you to a charming, authentic, traditional 20th century stable, very carefully restored (formerly linked to the neighboring "farmhouse", which they have also perfectly rehabilitated into a gîte) nestled in the peace and quiet of a peaceful little village in the Morvan countryside with old-world charm, a stone's throw from a delightful 12th century Romanesque church. Typical and full of history, cradle of oil shale exploitation in Autun (from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th), this former mining town with a world-renowned deposit (some vestiges of this period remain a few kilometers away) nestled at the crossroads of the green valleys of the Arroux & the Drée (fish-filled rivers) benefits from a bucolic rural and natural hilly setting, mixing agriculture and nature, between fields of crops, wooded meadows, rivers and ponds and deep wild forests (including the nearby national forest of Planoise backing onto Autun, one of the largest in France, or the famous vast Morvan forest massif). 100% relaxing setting and preserved surroundings, to be explored during rejuvenating walks or mountain bike rides. Very comfortable cottage. Warm country charm with contemporary accents, blending tradition and modernity in an exotic, compact, dollhouse-style architecture. Rooms nestled under the eaves in a "cabin cocoon" style. An ultra-cozy and cozy atmosphere. Plenty of charm. Pleasant, enclosed garden, carefully planted with grass, vegetation, and flowers, with an elegant paved courtyard terrace. Composition: Detached house neighboring another of the owners' cottages (completely independent from each other). Fiber optic Wi-Fi. Electric heating. Free laundry service. Ground floor: living room-kitchen-lounge, separate toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms (double bed 140x200cm in each), bathroom (shower). Enclosed garden (150m²) + terrace + bicycle storage + private parking. All amenities 9 km away. Authentic traditional stable dating from the 19th century, very carefully revisited into a charming, gentle holiday home - with a pleasant enclosed garden - nestled in the heart of a peaceful, typical Morvan village, 9 km from Autun, an unmissable shopping town labeled "Town of Art and History", a historic "Relais de Rome" in the heart of Burgundy, rich in more than 2000 years of human presence (literally exceptional heritage, all amenities on site and numerous sports & leisure facilities including a lake with a water sports center & golf). In the heart of the rolling Autun countryside, nestled on the southern slope of the Morvan massif at the gateway to the Natural Park, in the heart of a peaceful, preserved rural & natural setting mixing agriculture & nature, between hedged meadows, rivers & vast wild forests, dotted with marked footpaths (including a rich network of "green walks", to be explored on foot or by mountain bike). Ideally located on the route of the Romanesque churches circuit, 1 km from the Green Way "from Morvan to the Vineyards" adjoining the "Cycloroute71" (Tour of Saône-et-Loire by bike), 8 km from a marked cycle route serving the Morvan Massif, 10 km from the legendary GTMC mountain bike circuit (Grande Traversée du Massif Central), 10 km from the GR131 & GR137 (connected to the GR13 as well as to the renowned GRP of the "Grand Tour du Morvan") & 25 km from the Couchois vineyards (adjoining the Côtes Chalonnaises and the famous Côtes de Beaune & Hautes Côtes de Beaune) crossed by the "Route des Grands Vins" which extends the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus" (crossing some of the most eminent wine-growing villages in the world such as Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault, etc.). In the heart of the Autunois, a sublime preserved territory steeped in history, steeped in legends and mysteries, rich in a literally exceptional heritage and grandiose landscapes, at the crossroads of the Pays Beaunois and Chalonnais, at the crossroads of the departments of Nièvre (territory of the "Great Lakes of Morvan") and Côte d'Or. 5.5 km from the departure station of the "Vélorail du Morvan" (22 km of unusual nature ride), 27 km from the medieval city of Nolay (lake developed on site), 33 km from the famous Gallo-Roman archaeological site of Bibracte labeled "Grand Site de France", 33 km from Le Creusot (renowned Parc de loisirs des Combes / Gare Creusot TGV 45 km away), 40 km from the renowned Paldenshangpa Buddhist temple, 37 km from Beaune (illustrious fortified city of world renown, "capital of Burgundy wines"), 39 km from Château-Chinon & 40 km from the renowned Lac des Settons (supervised beach of fine sand, nautical leisure center & multiple aquatic activities). Possibility of group rental of the two gîtes on the property (with gîte n°1993), for a total capacity of 10 people. A perfect "cocoon" full of charm for a change of scenery immersed in the heart of the village!
