Spark by Hilton Amarillo Western Plaza
"This was my first time staying at the Spark by Hilton. The room was wonderful. I requested a handicap room and the room was very spacious and allowed us to move about freely. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff took good care of us and provided us extra towels and items we requested. The price for the was reasonable, but who wants to really pay for a hotel room!! There are several items I must mention that made me give 4 stars instead of 5. The first is the party that happened Friday night and Saturday night until after 1:00 am. We were on the 4th floor and out side there is an outdoor area with 2 gazebos next the the pool Several dozen guests were outside playing music loud and kids SCREEMING. I understand they were "playing" but after 1 am it was not considerate of other guests. They had the pool door propped open so they could use the pool while eating, dancing and conversing into the wee hours of the morning. We finally called the front desk and were told there was nothing they would do about, they had no quiet hours. In the room in the "living room" area was a couch, and one small table. There were no lights on the ceiling, no end tables by the couch which meant no lights there either. One large light by the entrance door, but with the size of the room, more are needed. Had laundry service on 3 floors but ours on 4th was out of service had to go down one floor. The breakfast is not worth mentioning. Would stay here again!"
