"The room was nice. Everything we needed. Very basic but clean and friendly staff. The only thing we didn't like was the people walking up the wooden stairwell just outside of and above our room and someone pacing back and forth on the deck talking on their phone. It was very loud in our room and they walked up and down the stairs at 5:00 a.m. and woke us up."

"The cottage is on the main road in town so street noise and noise from the DQ next door are constant. This also means window shades had to be closed for any privacy. Microwave was very dirty, did not appear to have been cleaned in a while. No real utensils or supplies in kitchenette. Otherwise cleanliness was good. Communication with host was thorough. As it's on main road it is within walking distance of a lot in town"

"Pictures don’t do it justice! Spacious, peaceful, completely wonderful. I could sit all day and eve in the great room with a fire in the wood burning stove and the spectacular forest view out the windows. Kitchen is terrific. Super location—minutes from town but feels like the middle of the woods. There are 4 units in this building but the building is so well designed it doesn’t seem like anyone else is around. The experience was sooooo easy. (And pro tip if you’re coming from the cities - spend the extra 20 minutes taking the “scenic route” from Two Harbors. You’ll arrive in a fantastic mood!)"

"Centrally located and felt at home in warm and cozy cottage #2. Snow removal was even done hours after snowfall and would definitely stay again!"

"This is one of four lovely little cabins on the edge of Ely. The furnishings were very nice, the place was cared for, and it was very clean. Five of us stayed very comfortably for two nights. The cabin and furniture are beautifully made. Check-in was very easy with a lockbox with a code to access the key. The screened-in front porch and fire pit were nice to enjoy. If we had more time, we definitely would have used the canoe that comes with the cabin. "
