This hotel was wonderful; the tour guides were particularly knowledgeable and also great with kids! We enjoyed the restaurant and especially the views from the rooms (we had 3, and all were incredible). It is a bit of a walk through the cloud forest to the rooms, but there is help for luggage, and it's exactly the kind of walk you come to Costa Rica to take! Thank you Dantica!

A gem in the cloud forest

Amazing view from every individual lodge. This is an amazing property with a large natural areas with hiking trails. The trail levels would be moderate and difficulty, but it is really nice to be with trees and natures. Excellent services, staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Excellent dinner menu with very reasonable prices. Humming bird feeder brought nice visitors. The bird and nature guide (Carlos) booked through the lodge was excellent. We saw quetzal birds twice!!!

There were gorgeous, steep, well maintained trails behind the property to the river below. Also a fabulous variety of birds. Everything else was hit and miss, including the Wi-Fi connection (or not). We had a meal that was among the best, and another that was among the worst during our 10-day stay in Costa Rica. Staff was not exactly friendly, not exactly hostile. The amenities we had were extraordinary considering how remote this property is, but the experience was overall uneven.

The hotel is very nice; the room was very comfortable and the view is amazing. The private trails are great, it is advisable to use confortable shoes and a walking stick. The food at the restaurant is good.

Give it a try, you wont regreat it!

We had a great time discovering this hidden gem. Restaurant service and food quality is exc! The room was very well equipped, the bed is really comfy and the coolest thing about it is you gotta take a trial through the forest to get to your bungalow. You will get to see lots of birds and its pretty calm to have a great sleep. Im definitely coming back. Hopefully for the coldest time of the year.

We loved our superior forest bungalow overlooking the cloud forest. It was super cozy and very quiet. We were visited by many hummingbirds on our little deck. The restaurant was top notch - very pretty and intimate and the food was amazing. It was a great place for bird watching at breakfast and lunch. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Worth the walk

YEs its a long walk to the bungalow but its worth it! The room was amazing with the full windows, the jacuzzi bath and nice bed. The food was fabulous. We saw quetzals on the tour and I took a wonderful horseback ride as well Thank you!

What a wonderful eexoerience we had at Dantica Cloud Forest Lodge! It net all my exoectations. We came to the mountsins to see the Respendant Quetzal bird and our guide Carlos was the best. We saw a male and a female. The dining at Dantuca is exceptional. The dishes were original and very tasty. Service was terrific too. I would recommend it to anyone.
