Great spot to stop on our 1400 mile journey. Quiet and clean campgrounds and the lake is a 100 yards from the sites. Small but beautiful, the lake has numerous wife from turtles to cottonmouth to numerous birds. A pleasant way to relax from a 350 mile drive.

In the early 70s, our family drove from New Brunswick Canada to Orlando Beach Florida; a long drive, to be sure. I don't recall where the billboards for South of the Border started but my 7 year old self sure wanted to stop. We never did...
