Location perfect. However, disappointing stay:poor maintenance, listing inaccuracies, and unhelpful hostSaid there was a patio but no access due to broken window covering. No patio chairs. Patio covered in tall weeds. (was not cleared for the first 3 days. Host said he had no control over that. Also said handy man was swamped so shade cover was not fixed. Had office space listed- it was a utility closet with an ironing board. Said there were room darkening curtains. There were not. Parking lot lights shown through. When we arrived, windows were extremely dirty- we washed them. Kitchen cabinets were greesy

I really wanted to like this rental… the location was great! But sadly, that was really the only thing I liked. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a terrible smell. Almost like cat urine. The whole place smelled. I even purchased 3 air fresheners and placed them around the apartment, and it still smelled. There was a small amount of feces left in the toilet, the shower had black curly hairs all over, the bed didn’t have a flat sheet, only a fitted sheet and comforter, the sliding back door was broken and wouldn’t lock (there was a pole placed there, preventing it from opening), the shade that covered the back sliding door was broken and couldn’t be opened, the bedroom door wouldn’t close all the way, the shade in the bedroom was not a “black-out” curtain, like the listing said (the bright lights from the parking light kept the room bright all night), the air conditioner in the living/dining room didn’t work, there wasn’t a garbage bag in the bathroom can and the communication with the host wasn’t great.I messaged the host right away, stating the condition of the apartment. They said they would ask the cleaner some questions about what I had said and I didn’t hear anything else. However, I did notice that there were some garbage bags left on the kitchen counter when I had come back after being out. This made me very uncomfortable, knowing that someone had been in the apartment while I was away and all of my stuff was there. I was never given a heads up.
