Sala Ayutthaya
"The property is unique in style and appearance however as a guest the instagramability of the property has hurt its practicality. The staff are all amazing and wonderfully helpful. The food at the restaurant is great and the view across to the temples is amazing. However the downsides are the rooms are not practical at all. The shower is an open glass box with no privacy to the door of the room which means if you are in the shower and someone comes to the door you are totally exposed. It is bad. The bathroom is also totally open to the small coffee area which does not feel hygienic. The room is large but there is no table or place to sit and enjoy food or drink. The pool is the same size as the bath in the room and not attractive to use. We also had some random person walk into our room because he was looking for the toilet. The guest rooms are not protected from the rest of the hotel which means you need to have your door locked at all times. It feels unsafe. We loved the service at the hotel but not the hotel itself and would not return if in Ayuttaya."
