"it appears they are remodeling. I was in a dated but nice room. Egyptians don't know how to vacuum in the corners. Found this at all the hotels but 1."

"Steigenberger Nile Palace exceeded my expectations. After a "so-so" Cairo/Giza hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the real "upscale" experience—and for a very reasonable price, to boot! I opted for the "half board" option, and the dinners I had at both a-la-carte restaurants were hands down the best ones during my vacation. "Perfect location to get picked up on your Nile cruise, or even to stay for a few nights, it’s that great here. Pool was amazing, staff was super helpful and nice. Great view of the Nile from our room and from the pool. Go to the Egyptian/international restaurant over the Italian restaurant."
