"We booked a long bank holiday weekend at the very last minute and were not disappointed. Very tranquil location so the town isn't really walkable unless you are super fit although only minutes from town in a car. But the hotel more than made up for that. Very traditional which made you feel like you were stepping back in time. The staff were all super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We couldn't fault the room. Very comfortable Super kingsize bed in quite a large room, which also had a fabulous bathroom. We only had breakfast one morning but they had a great selection of hot and cold options. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we were out exploring but the meals we saw others enjoying looked amazing. If we are ever in that neck of the woods again, we would most certainly stay here again. "

"Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Evening meal was fabulous and great value for money. The room was quiet and comfortable. The only grumble was the shower which was tired and couldn’t be directed in a suitable position. "
