Les Suites de Laviolette, an Ascend Collection Hotel
"This was our first stay at this property. The hotel is in a central area close to stores and restaurants and next to the bridge and hwy. We booked a superior family suite which was quite large. It has a separate king bedroom as well as a Murphy bed and sofa bed in the living room area. There is a kitchenette and a dining room area for 4. The room was very clean and the staff extremely welcoming. There is a great hot and cold buffet breakfast that is kept well stocked. There was an issue I had concerns about that was dealt with immediately. On the second night, there was a terrible smell outside that started to carry through to our room. I called reception to inquire; a rep from the front desk came to our room quickly and informed us it was from a local business and does happen from time to time. She offered us an air freshener to help which it did. There is an outside pool and patio tables but unfortunately when we were there it rained daily. It should be noted, that as the hotel is located at the foot of the bridge there is a bit of traffic noise but not enough to disrupt sleep. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon again."
