Fathala Wildlife Reserve
"The manager was horrible, and the management overall was terrible. It felt like South Africa in the 1970s. No one was at the property when we arrived. There was no cell phone service, and after driving one kilometer inside the reserve, they still refused to give us the Wi-Fi password. The employees seemed afraid to call the manager, and when she finally arrived, she still did not provide the Wi-Fi access. After telling us she was going to get it from her office, she disappeared for three hours. At that point, we decided it was time to end the nightmare. Waking with the lion we cancelled that activity If you are Black, this is not the place to stay: Fathala Wildlife Reserve. After a 10-hour drive, this was a major disappointment. Visit the wildlife reserve only. The staff are excellent, and the guides are professional and highly proficient in their work. You can find better hotels near the reserve for your stay. Most guests seem to have a good experience with the safari itself."
