Spring Break 2025

Amazing place to stay. Very clean and perfect location. Grounds are very well maintained, elevators are fast, and pool area is large and beautiful! The spa and workout area are a fantastic bonus! Thank you for making this trip so wonderful!

Excellent view and condo was nice. Great beach area and large pool. Need to advise people they need to bring salt/pepper, extra paper towels and toilet paper, bath soap and dish detergent if staying 5 days.

Amazing Gulf Views

Amazing Gulf views! Fantastic location next to state park. Beautiful pool. Unit itself could use a little TLC for minor updates and deep cleaning. Otherwise, a wonderful place to stay.

Good trip, bed weather

We come to Destin every year for the past 25 years, and we stay at Silver Shells every tyear since it was build. The resort is beautiful and well maintain. We always stay in St Martin, but this year we stayed in St Croix unit 1406. The unit is very comfortable and well decorated. It looks better than on the pictures. The vew from the balcony is amazing. The check in process was eazy and our unit was ready at 4 pm, exactly on time. The amenities were ok, except the sinks in the master bathroom sprayed water all over the counter when open the faucet. The dishwasher needs to be replaced and the washer makes very loud noise the whole time its working. Everything also was working fine and we had a great time. The only disappointment was the weather. We went for 1 week and we only had a good weather for 2 days. There was some tropical system coming from the Gulf and it was raining nonstop for 2 days. Even after the rain has stopped the sky was covered with very dark clouds for the rest of our stay. But I guess there is always a chance of bad weather when going to the beach in October; it's still hurricane season.

Great place with amazing views

This is our first time to Destin and staying at Silver Shells st croix 1406 and it did not disappoint! Place is exactly as advertised and I would definitely stay here again. We had the best service on beach, at tiki bar, pool, etc. Check in was easy and unit was ready on time. Any questions I had prior to our trip and during were answered very promptly. I would of have 5 stars for everything but I did notice a couple of the chairs could use a cleaning. The one concern I had with a 3 of the 4 balcony doors did not lock and with us having small children that was a concern with being on 14th floor. I let the rental company know on my checkout date and they are letting property maintenance know. I highly recommend this property!

Nice location, pool and beach access

What we liked about the property is the location and beach access and great pool. The big space of the condo for a family of six was good too. I would honestly recommend the management to change carpets and couches or at least have them professionally clean, it was not nice to walk around on such a carpet and sit on dirty couches and chairs plus couches are extremely low (hard for older people to sit and get up). I think is time for an update! Overall for what we paid we are content, but definitely cleanness should come at all prices.

Perfect location

Condo unit was perfect for three couples. Unit was clean and loved the layout. Perfect to access beach, pool and loved watching the planes. Would definitely rent in this location again.

Breathtaking view!

This unit was the way it was listed but the view was spectacular! Nice and clean unit. Enough room for our group. Beach was a few steps away and the pool below was an added bonus. Our kids loved it! We will definitely be back.

It was ok

There was some construction and painting happening right outside of our balcony, there were paint ladders and one of our balconies was completely taped off. We also had some safety concern issues related to balcony doors not able to lock. The place was nice and location was great. We were told by some workers at the resort that we were not able to use some of the spa features which was a little disappointing. I would’ve appreciated being told prior to arrival that there would be some construction/painting happening… it would have been nice to know that that was happening instead of finding out once we were there. I feel like we could have been given the option to change our reservation for a later time or just different dates in general, just whenever construction was not happening. Or given the choice to keep reservation as it was but at least know that there would be construction happening when we were there. I emailed them as soon as we arrived but never heard back. Other than that the place was nice, and location was great

Beautiful Beaches of Destin

The property was very well maintained and completely turn-key. The views were spectacular from the deck overlooking the pool and beach. The security around the property was exceptional and I greatly appreciated the private entry onto the property and the privacy of the property's amenities. Beautiful white sand beaches and exceptional staff on the beach overseeing our comforts throughout the week were superior.

Fantastic Condo

This condo is the perfect location for a family to stay. Everything is within a short drive, groceries, restaurants, activities, etc. The condo itself is a great size with a fully stocked kitchen. The view from the balcony is one of the best as the condo is located on the 14th floor. I highly recommend renting this unit.

Can't wait to come back!

Everything about our stay was awesome! The staff at the condo were all very helpful. The condo was a perfect fit for our group! It was me, my husband and three kids along with our two friends and their son. We never felt cramped at all! The view was amazing! The pool was perfect, and the sand at the beach was awesome too! Two things to know when staying here: 1.) make sure you bring your own beach towels, and 2.) if you want pool toys, bring those too because there weren't any. Not a huge deal for us though. Can't wait to go back!
