We chose this as a last minute replacement for an Airbnb that cancelled on us three days before the trip. I was happy to grab one of the larger rooms with no stairs and jetted tub. What took our breath away was the view from the balcony! We slept with a window open to hear the waves all night.
There were some issues- the bed was like sleeping on a rock. The property is in obvious need of some maintenance- creaky wooden walkways, a luggage drag mark on the floor of our entryway. The website indicated a restaurant, pool and hot tub. The restaurant is permanently closed as is the hot tub. Frankly, i didn't care about the hot tub with a private jetted tub but it might matter to others, the latches to the windows are coming out and had to be handled gently.
On the positives- the room was clean, the view was wonderful, The staff was amazing! Every single person was super friendly, energetic, and helpful. I never felt a request was treated like an inconvenience. They apologized for the website not being updated by Clarion. Apparently, Clarion acquired the property and has done very little to update or renovate. The staff is doing what they can to maintain with little support from what I observed. They didn’t complain, they didn’t show resentment, instead they did their best to give us the best experience possible.
Honestly, even with the bed being a rock, I would stay again for the view and the staff. I would prefer an upgraded mattress but I’d still go back!
