I liked the facr that it was without walking distance to the track while attending Rockville. I wanted to book again for next year and the prices are triple what they were just a couple weeks ago. The rooms are substandard at best you got people living in the bushes next door. This place is price gouging . They want 380 bucks for one night . They are worth 70 at best just because of the location . Terrible

The room was very spacious and temperature was very comfortable. The pool was nice and well lit once it got dark. The grounds were very well kept and a separate space for dogs to potty. The have a free breakfast in the morning, but they quickly run out of everything. The staff were nice, but the customer service could have been better. The room itself had an unpleasant smell. Probably the carpet as it seemed dirty. The laminate tile floor in the bathroom stuck to my feet with every step. The chair in the room was falling apart underneath. The mattress was so wore out that I could feel the bed frame. Overall, the room was pretty shabby. They could really use updating. The location was great. The pictures on Travelocity must be old or of another location, because they don't reflect what you actually see and get. Check in came with a couple of surprises. The site said pets stay free, but i was still charged when I checked in. Not having that extra fee is a big reason I chose this hotel. Then my reservation was split into 2 separate reservations, so i had to check in twice.

Rooms were clean and economical. One of the building door handles was broke off and I had to walk around the yard to get in on the other side. 1st rm had a broken air conditioner & smelled of smoke. 2nd rm was good.

The internet was not working. I had to tell the receptionist about it, as she did not know. She said she would write it up, for maintenance to fix. Thus I had no internet for my stay there.

Our hotel certainly does have WiFi, and we are indeed in the process of changing our internet service provider, which can occasionally cause a short lapse in service, and I apologize if this negatively impacted your stay. The location was good and the front desk clerk polite but everything else was horrible. The room smelled moldy like it had been locked up for months. There were stains on the carpet. The bathroom floor stuck to your feet when it got damp/wet, like a bathroom does. Mold in the bathroom. Dingy shower curtain. Old pillows. The door didn’t have a chain lock because it had broken off and no one replaced it since it was sitting on the counter, nails still attached like it had just come out. We were gone the next day for almost 12 hours. When we returned that night, no one had been in the room. Towels still on the floor, beds not made. Nothing. So we packed up and went home. I forfeited about additional night stay in leu of staying another night.

Dear Anonymous, I have read your review of the La Quinta Speedway and allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Our location is outstanding and I am glad the staff was polite. Our hotel is an older one that we have acquired just two short years ago and are just now getting to renovations. the carpets are being replaced with tile, we are adding new paint and furniture along with other amenities. I hope that in your future travels you will once again consider La Quinta for your event or travel needs, and experience our wonderful upgrades.
