Our room was in the house side “castle side”of the hotel and it truly had the feel of a true castle. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very disappointing stay,

Not a great start when you enter and here 1 of the reception staff arguing over a customers room service issue and customer bring called a stupid cow. 2nd reception was more interested in talking to concerge and i waited 5+ mins before being acknowledge. The room allocated was very outdated, poor amenities and non branded offering of amenities. Bathroom taps broken, mold on shower tiling, flaking paint on windows, no air con and very bad tv reception. Very poor quality breakfast ingredients. The overall stay was very disappointing and I’d have to say I’ve stayed in better Travelodge properties.

Wonderful place. Easy check in, lovely staff. The only hiccup for us is that they would only let my husband get a pizza from the Brasserie restaurant to take back to the room to eat, we had been up for hours and were to exhausted to eat out. Very limited room service menu as well. Otherwise everything was grand.

Food service very slow in Brassiere restaurant but food nice. Fire alarm activated numerous times and was evacuated with no staff coming to evacuate point to inform. We was informed by a guest it was a false alarm. Being in the fire service I feel there should have been a staff presence within procedures seeing some people were staying put. The rest of the stay very pleasant and lovely breakfast.

Even with elevators available, this was not a mobility-friendly hotel - especially while carrying heavy luggage. Staff were responsive and friendly, but trying to find a way to order food to the room was difficult. The hotel and grounds overall were lovely.

Lovely traditional hotel with nice rooms and good parking.Nice grounds with amenities.Enjoyed leisure facilities, warm pool. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, very poor quality orange juice, more like diluting juice. Buffet style Scottish, more mass produced than quality. Enjoyed hotel and staff very friendly but breakfast lets it down a bit.

Hotel is definitely showing its age. The rooms themselves are fine, but the bathrooms are very dated. Didn’t think much of the breakfast, but it was adequate. The warmest indoor swimming pool I’ve ever been in, so big thumbs up for that!
