We had a long stay in Custer to see all the sights. During our stay we had a variety of housekeeping. All days the towels were changed but only one day was our coffee resupplied. One day the bed wasn’t even made just new towels. Breakfast options were pretty much the same thing every day. I did notice while there that there were two clocks on the wall in the hotel lobby area and breakfast area that were not working (stuck on the same time) for the whole time we were there. I know it’s a small thing but it’s attention to those small details that would indicate exceptional management. Initially when seeing the breakfast clock I thought we were running late and then checked my phone time and realized that the clock wasn’t working. :/

They advertise a swimming pool and hot tub. My husband and I booked a week's stay there. We paid a considerable amount extra to stay at this hotel over others for the hot tub. Their website does not tell you that they close it for the season September 1st. They were unwilling to refund any money. They tell you breakfast is served 6 am to 9:30 am daily, but the food is completely put away by 9:10 am. I guess you could ask the employee to get you some but who wants to do that. Overall, not much different than an Econolodge or Motel 6.
