The room was a bit dated but very comfortable. The staff was considerate, helpful and welcoming. The neighboring Mohawk Diner served excellent food with the best drink prices we encountered throughout our Oregon/Washington road trip. Plus the nightly rate in these days is perfect, especially if you’re traveling with a pet.

Good option for accessibility to Crater Lake which is 90 minutes away. Kitchenette in our “deluxe” room was handy, but mostly just a microwave, larger refrigerator but no utensils besides a few forks and a can opener. Jacuzzi in room took a while to fill, and jets had slight mildew. Lots of woodsy/mountain decor which in a way was kinda charming.

The AC unit blows right in you ear. Couldn’t have it on at night. The heavy quilt bedspread was to heavy and hot. No blanket provided. Had to sleep with only the sheet over us. Our feet, especially, got cold.

The "wild outdoors" motiff and decorations were overbaord. The capeted board walk around to the units was very dirty with cigarettte butts, dirt, small trash. But the rooms are clean. Power outlets are a couple of power strips. The construction workers there o monthly rent start their vehicles early in the morning right outside your door. But, the truck noise on #97 is not noticed.

I don't consider myself hard to please, however when there is water left in the ice bucket, coffee grounds in the coffee maker, coffee in the coffee pot, and a ring around the toilet, I have an issue. I found it quite ironic that the tip envelope was left leaning up against the ice bucket that contained water from the previous occupant. The walls are very thin - not the cause of the staff but a consideration. There was a nice little area for each room, with chairs and an umbrella for sitting outside to enjoy a cocktail or coffee. I'm not sure how anyone else was able to rate this highly. Perhaps we visited on a bad day, but based on my experience I could not recommend this motel. Could be so much more.

The room was nice and had enough space. Really friendly staff at checkin. The only downsides were the very old towels with a weird green/gray color and the bordeaux bed sheets: these colors really don’t give the impression of cleanliness. But that’s all.
