Perfect house and backyard! The only thing I would change is the scratchy sheets that come up off the mattress.

Absolutely perfect!

This home was even better than advertised! It’s in an amazing location and so awesome that the golf cart is included! Cleanliness and communication with host was top notch! We highly recommend this rental and hope we’re able to stay here again in the future!

Love this place BUT too expensive now

We love this property! Comfortable rooms (squeaky main bed) and tons of kitchen supplies. The backyard and all of the amenities are great! But the fees and price have gone up so much, we've been priced out. 1st time renting compared to this time was almost a 2000 difference. Eek! We'll have to look somewhere else next time first

Generously equipped getaway cottage!

This place is fabulous! We are four 50 something adults who love to cook elaborate dinners after a full day at the beach. I've never seen a such well appointed kitchen in Port A or S. Padre (My husband and I have made a yearly trek to the coast for 25 years.) THE KITCHEN HAS A SEPARATE ICE MACHINE! The house is clean and lovely! There were extra really nice blankets and beach towels. The backyard is truly an oasis! Each night we'd come home from the beach, get in the pool for happy hour, then prepare dinner and eat on the patio. One night was a little cooler so we sat around the fire feature and ate pizza. We are two couples, this place would be great for three couples or a larger family. We fully enjoyed everything about this place!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the best time - the hosts were amazing. The check in was super easy. The management company was very helpful with the questions we had. The entire home was tranquil and had everything we needed plus some. The outdoor entertaining area blew our minds - it was so refreshing to hang out by the pool and to listen to the wind blowing through the park trees. We loved our stay and will be back and highly recommend. It’s close to everything and the golf cart was a plus. Highly recommend for families and or couples - we had 6 adults and a 1-1/2 year old and were very comfortable. We also loved the welcome bag as well. This is the best place we’ve stayed on Port A. We have made trips to Port A in the past and this was the best of all! The island is resilient and the people are just as genuine and kind as they were prior to hurricane. Wished we could have stayed longer!

very Nice House - other Items to be aware of

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was very nice, well-appointed, clean and well-kept. Items of Concern: 1. Outdoor trashcan was completely full (minor issue). Back yard had not been cleaned-up and had dead palm fronds everywhere. 2. Internet, as advertised, was Not available (Very BIG issue as we had planned to use it to work remotely). 3. Next door neighbor has outdoor pool and Tiki bar. People had very loud outdoor music on all day and until 11pm on Thanksgiving night, which reveberated through our walls. Finally, my son had to ask them to turn down the music. (Very BIG issue). 4. When music commenced at 9am the next morning, went to Silver Sands and found-out that it was a rental, too. Silver Sands rep did ask renters to turn-down music. 5. Unfortunately, although the house itself was very nice, we would not return to it due to the issues mentioned above.

Heart of palms- AMAZING

We absolutely loved our stay and I wish I would have booked for a longer stay. We have already decided that we will be making this an annual trip! My 5 year old hid under the covers on day of check out and refused to leave! Thank y'all for everything- absolutely beautiful!

House has some issues. TV in middle bedroom did not work. Towel holders kept breaking off. No instructions for gas stove. Notebook needs updating. 4 seater golf cart for a family of 5 does not work. Sofa sleeper in master was stained and old. Dips in the muddle. No closet space for master, had to live out of suitcase! Only 2 toilet paper rolls in the entire house! Let your next guests know they need to bring their own!!!

Best place to stay on the island- and believe me, I've stayed at a lot!

We go to the Island about 5-6 times a yr. This is our second time staying at Heart of Palms and will not be our last time. We love it. It has such a welcoming feel. It's very clean and has everything you need from kitchen items to beach towels and tons of blankets! The backyard is AMAZING! You won't want to leave it. Huge tv on the wall so you can listen to music videos while in the pool and watch tv while eating breakfast before pool time. The grill seems like a new one, as it wasn't there last yr, and it was awesome to cook with this time! Hands down best place on the island! Oh!! And the neighbors are super sweet! Don't miss your chance to stay at this place, but please take care of it bc we plan to go back!

A Perfect Spring Break at Hearts of Palms

We stayed three nights at the Hearts of Palms property in Port A - it was a perfect spring break at Hears of Palms! The house is charming and the outdoor living perfect. We'd highly recommend and will plan to stay here again should our travels bring us back to Port Aransas!

Enjoyed the house… however checkin was supposed to be at 4:00, maids still there till after 7:00. There were no wash cloths, called to get some, but only received 2 and we had 4 people here.

Perfect House with Pool!

We absolutely loved the house. The layout was perfect for us and the kitchen was extremely well equipped with multiples of everything you may need. The pool was perfect and refreshing after a long day at the beach. For those with a dog, there is no grass at all which is more of an FYI. We would given the house perfect ratings if the management company wouldn’t have had a few hiccups and miscommunications. The house also came with a golf cart which we loved, but the young lady at the golf cart shop was extremely rude and unprofessional.

Nice property but...

Loved the property it was a great as the pictures portrayed it. Very good location and nicely decorated. but had a few issues: 1. Silver Sands was very unresponsive to my inquiries about logistics via email. I tried to call them multiple times but the number listed on VRBO and in their confirmation emails never picked up and did not go to voicemail. 2. They property comes with a "free" gold cart but required my drivers licence and insurance card. SilverSands provides no secure way to upload those to them so I was forced (after multiple emails) to send these unencryted over email in order to use the gold cart. I find this totally unacceptable as that could too easily be intercepted and stolen. 3. Check in time was 4 PM. We arrived at 4:15 PM to find the cleaning crew in the house. They were just starting. We had to drive around town and sit in our car until 5:30 PM before getting into the house. We could not really go eat or shop as we had our dog with us and it was too hot to leave the dog in our car. All we got was a text apology and the statement - well they are supposed to be done by 4. No offer to refund money, but us dinner or anything.

The house is great. Had so many amenities. Spacious, nicely decorated, lots of room for outside entertainment. The only misleading thing beach access. Even that wasn't bad.

Reviewer Comments: House is beautiful, pool is beautiful but we paid to have it heated and the first day it was like a frozen Minnesota lake, I called and it was fixed by the next day, asked for a refund for “pool heating”... didn’t get it!!! Golf cart is amazing and made getting around town very easy but if you have more than 4 people call and reserve a 6 person in advance... All and All nice home!

Wrong Location

House was awesome but not where they say it is. We wanted to stay in downtown Port A so our elderly father could easily walk dog to buy newspaper each morning. We only looked at this area on the VRBO map which showed this property to be walking distance to IGA groceries and most restaurants. Learned upon our arrival that this property is 2 miles from downtown and not walkable to any businesses. The leasing company blamed VRBO. VRBO blamed leasing company but opened a complaint and said we'd hear back from them and leasing company. Three weeks since we've left there and still haven't heard from either.

The rooms were nice and house was very clean. We had issues with the guest bathroom and constantly had to fill it with water even after calling maintenance. The neighbors tended to be a little loud but nothing crazy. Overall it a great stay.

Reviewer Comments: The minute you pull up in the driveway it makes you feel you’re at the beach, large palm trees everywhere and once you open the front door it is decorated so beautiful. We loved the outdoor area and the pool was perfect. Lots of shade. We also used the fire pit at night and watched for oppossums crossing! Plenty of room in the kitchen and there is everything you would ever need. The owners did an awesome job on this house and we will be back next year. Hopefully there will be foam toppers on the mattresses, that was the only downfall.

Once A Year Port A Family Vacation

Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were pleasantly surprised at how large the rooms were. After the beach visits during the day, we enjoyed the pool and outdoor TV in the evening. The only problem we had was with the pool on our last day. We started calling the office in the morning to get it fixed and had to call over 10 times to check the status. It could not be fixed at that time but they did send someone over to talk to us and she refunded us $100. The other time that we didn't like was the late check-in at 5:00 pm. Seems like you pay for a whole day and don't get it.

Limited access to kitchen cabinets. Remotes to various devices either had no batteries or didnt work. Pool was pretty warm but cost extra to adjust. Had to buy toilet paper immediately due to very limited amount. Afraid to use fire pit due to extra charges for gas. Good location. The backyard is the oasis so that's where we stayed for the majority of the trip.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were blown away by the beautiful Hearts of Palms house! Nice location. The decor was elegant, full kitchen had everything, King comfortable beds, and the backyard was amazing!! We loved the pool and outdoor area so much! It was fun and convenient to ride the golf cart to the beach, too! The manual was helpful with questions we had about using the TV and all. We would highly recommend!! The only very minor issues we had were the microwave didn’t work and the hand soap & toilet paper were almost gone.
