"The hotel was closed. I could not even get in the parking lot. I had to make other arrangements at another hotel, which cost me twice as much. I’m not happy with this at all and it doesn’t sound like I’m gonna be getting a refund for quite some time either."

Stoney Creek Hotel Columbia
"The hotel has a very pleasant woodsy/cabin aesthetic. The rooms are nice, good size, very fresh, clean linens, quiet. Hallway on third floor was quite warm, but the A/C in the room was great! Shower includes larger bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash, but the dispenser that holds them on the wall was moldy. The hot water knob on our bathroom sink did not work and I noticed there was a trash can under the sink for catching drips. The jets in the hot tub weren't strong enough to actually make it bubble (may need to be serviced), but the overall size and temperature was nice. There's some structural improvements needed to the "rocks" that surround the hot tub...there's a hole in the facade and the waterfall wasn't working. The pool was nice, but cold, and there was only one pool towel left on the shelves when exiting. We walked back to our room VERY wet and dripping. The continental breakfast was okay, nothing spectacular. Biscuits and gravy, eggs (no meats), yogurts, bagels, toast, pancake maker (they were VERY light in color when they came out), coffee, juice from a dispenser. I was hoping for a little more. Overall a pleasant stay and we would book there again!"
