Back to the future stay. Off the beaten path, quite, and just old school. Get to meet your neighbors and everyone including owners are friendly. Deer walking around in parking lot. This is not a Big Name place that is worth staying at. Thanks for the stay.

Thank you Partner! We enjoy meeting and chatting with our guests. The deer roam freely around town and if you're lucky, you might see one. The property was a franchise at one time, but when I was told this property was #2 in the country, we dropped it and went REAL independent.

Very Nice

Pros: Very clean. Feel of the 50s.
Location: Close to downtown Cody restaurants and attractions. About an hour to Yellowstone.
This motel is an older style motel with parking in front of your room. It was not what we were expecting based upon the pictures, but was very nice. The room was well-maintained and very clean. It was convenient to downtown Cody. I would stay there again when in Cody.

Great for overnight

Nice little motel off the main street. Simple clean rooms and nice staff. Recommend if you don't want amenites just a good night sleep.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

I checked into the Cody, Wyoming Budget Host Inn on Saturday, June 26, 2010. When I went to check-out, I discovered that the inn’s management had my vehicle towed! Apparently I had parked in the wrong space, but the management had made no effort to contact me in my room to ask me to move the vehicle. This cost me a towing charge of $*! And the final insult was when the night clerk threatened to “make things very ugly for me very fast” if I didn’t stop expressing my indignation at the stupidity of their actions to have my vehicle towed. His statement was a clear and present threat to my safety. I was simply stunned by all of this and if I’d had a cell phone with me I would have called the police at that moment for his threatening statement to me. In all the thousands of places that I have stayed at over many years of domestic and international travel, both for business and personal reasons, I have never had such a rude, vicious, thoughtless and threatening hotel experience such as this. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

Cheap

The good news about this place is that it's cheap. Just remember you get what you pay for. Rooms are ok, but dated. Only get a few local tv stations. There is no breakfast. Thought there was no hot water for showers, but later found out that the valve was switched so the higher you turned it, the colder it got. Staff was nice and rooms were very clean. This is a great place to stay if you're looking to save some money, and don't plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel.
