Disappointing

It was not as expected from the photos. The downstairs of the house was dark (due to the verandah) and damp and smelt of damp. Walls and ceilings were stained with old leaks. The TV did not work. Stairs needed great care to use - we had to leave most of our luggage downstairs. The outside door was difficult to lock/unlock.The wardrobe in the bedroom was full of junk. The shower door had mould and stains from water leaks and nowhere to put soap, shampoo etc. The shower did have good water pressure and lots of hot water. It was not a river front property as advertised. Overall the decor was scruffy in need of decoration and some areas of the property were dirty. The positives were well equipped and modern kitchen, good wifi, air conditioning, comfortable bed and settee downstairs. The garden, location and setting was nice. We liked our neighbours the goats. A garden sun umbrella would have been useful.

Ontspannen in een rustige en groene omgeving

De rit naar het vakantiehuisje is verrassend. Kronkelig door het bos vind je de locatie makkelijk als je de bordjes volgt. Julia wachtte ons op en heette ons heel hartelijk welkom. Na een korte tour en introductie konden we van de rustige en groene omgeving genieten vanaf het overkapte terras of het zwembadje. De inrichting is netjes en compleet. De keuken beneden is helemaal nieuw en alles is aanwezig, zelfs een blender!. Boven is het tweede kamertje wat klein voor tieners, maar kleine kinderen hebben het er vast naar hun zin. De airco op beide verdiepingen biedt verkoeling tijdens de warme zomerdagen. Dit is echte luxe. De bedden zijn uiteraard opgemaakt bij aankomst. Julia is supergastvruj! Ze is er alleen om het zwembad te onderhouden en de geiten eten te geven. Wanneer ze even een praatje met je maakt, geeft ze handige tips om te doen in de omgeving: welk zwemmeer is leuk en wanneer is er markt. We hebben een heerlijke week gehad en komen graag nog een keer bij Julia en Mathieu terug!
