Tucked along a gentle creek with views toward Black Rock Mountain State Park, this fully renovated 1950s cabin is an easy, romantic base for food hopping, boutique browsing, and blue-sky adventures.

Date-night made easy (walk everywhere). Forget parking—stroll 5 minutes to downtown Clayton for chef-driven dinners, wine flights, and nightcaps, then wander home to the hot tub.
Slow mornings, soft evenings. Start with coffee on the creekside patio, linger on the back porch, then end the day soaking under the stars while the water rolls by.

Adventure by day. You’re minutes to waterfall hikes, scenic overlooks in Black Rock Mountain State Park, lakes, and whitewater rafting—come back, kick off your boots, and exhale.

This adorable creekside cottage is in the perfect location. Very private and serene but only a short walk to restaurants and shops. Heather puts a lot of thought into all the little extras to make your stay even better. Have already booked this place for our anniversary trip next year.

The house was clean, warm, and welcoming. It is in a very private setting in the woods, but a very easy walk to local stores, dollar tree, or a nice local brewery. We had a great time sitting by the fire and in the hot tub with the sound of the creek behind us, the kids even enjoyed a little swim. The creek is only about a foot at the deepest, so it was a short swim, but they enjoyed it!

Heather, our host, was wonderful! She reached out to make sure our stay was going well, and she was very friendly. The cabin was awesome. Very private. We booked her place because it was right next to a creek, which was so relaxing! The cabin was great and just the right size for 3 of us to have a comfortable stay. Clayton Cottage

The cottage was perfect. It is furnished with everything you can think of and more. We used the hot tub and roasted marshmallows over the fire pit. I truly enjoyed the easy walk into town.

Great place to spend time too get away from it all. Loved that it was walking distance to downtown Clayton, which has plenty of shopping and places to eat. The house has a beautiful outdoor area, but wish it would have had a gas bbq grill. Definitely will be going back.

Perfect getaway soot

The property was as described and the owner was very responsive. The cabin was so cute and relaxing on the creek. Loved sitting on the deck listening to the sound of water and soaking in the hot tub. Everything about this place is amazing! It's the cleanest, most well appointed place I've ever stayed in. The location is great and the scenery is not to be beat.
