The hotel itself was pretty new and the room was okay. Checking in was tricky since there is little parking in front and we were surprised to find out that there was no valet. Cars are self parked a block away in a public lot. The rooftop bar/restaurant that they brag about was closed for lunch, dinner and cocktails at night. Only open for breakfast but didn’t have the buffet setup because of lack of demand. We had a morning flight so wanted to have breakfast at 6:45 am but they would not accommodate us. They actually lock out the elevator access until 7:00 am! Although we paid for the bnb package, we left without eating. Location good for restaurant access but I would not stay here again. Too many other better options.

Located in the heart of shopping and dining options. Super walkable to everything. The room was large and had everything we needed. For the price and location, it was a good deal. Personally, we'd probably not stay here again as the parking instructions weren't very clear. The email the hotel sends out is very confusing and is outdated. The front desk has instructions that are clearer that tell you where to park for a reduced cost by parking on X floor and bringing them your ticket (this info is not in the email sent out). Additionally, the benefit of not having any windows in your room also means that you can't hear any road noise, so that was a benefit. However, we've decided that it's probably not for us.

The hotel is in a great location. It is within walking distance to the market and restaurants. Rooms are updated and clean. The staff was very accommodating.

Great location, central to everything! But note that our executive studio room was really a an average room with a king bed that would be considered a queen/ full sized in many countries including New Zealand (since we arrived here after staying at 5 other hotels in 5 cities where a king was truly king sized bed). The other consideration is that at entrance there are some homeless people greeting you each time you go in and out if the hotel; certainly something the hotel has no control over but thought to share. Overall though we did enjoy our stay because we could simply walk out and viola everything we wanted to see was within minutes!!

The room was spotless. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the Hotel was so central to everything it was just perfect. Parking outside for suitcase drop off and car park was a three minute walk away. We will definitely book again when in Christchurch.

Excellent site for closeness to Christchurch city centre. We were let down by the fact that the restaurant was closed except for breakfast. Breakfast service was so slow, 40minutes plus, to provide two eggs on toast!

All rooms are not created equal. For example, not all rooms have proper coffee service. My room was instant coffee. Yuck. I had to ask for the room to be made up on the second day, even with the sign on the door. I had no housekeeping service on the first day. The hotel looks under-utilized with empty hallways, elevators, reception. The restaurant is only open for breakfast. I didn’t use it.
