Surprised at the noise level, stayed at many hotel/motels on Bealey Avenue and these rooms are nice and quiet. Super handy having the bar/restaurant there too! Room was very clean and comfiest bed!

Kitchen had a lot of appliances that didn’t work and was generally not as clean as most hostels. Men’s bathroom in second floor also wasn’t great (lots of water on the floor and generally not that nice). The room was fine. Some shadier characters seem to live here long term, and sit out front smoking all day, so there is also that.

Easy & convenient

Spacious twin room with ensuite in the Lodge. Clean & quiet. The room door would also 'suction bang' (while shut) when the main front door downstairs slammed shut (unless it was other doors nearby). Not sure if this stopped due to turning the safety lock or the piece of paper I put in the door to stop this, as with both these in place the loud bang noise stopped. No aircon so being able to open the sliding door was a lifesaver. Restaurant on site. Would stay again.

Good parking available. Clean rooms. Very noisy at night from the bar patrons. Next door had loud music going early in the morning. Didnt like washing utensils in the bathroom. Thats just me. Otherwise everything was good.
