6/10 Okay

First the good: The location is convenient for getting on and off the highway, and it's still very close to downtown. The staff (I believe it's a family-run operation) were friendly and helpful. It's affordable for a one-night stay, and except as noted below, it offers basic comfort.
The not-so-good: The TV remote didn't work. The young man at the front desk found another one, which had more working buttons, but still did not work properly. So I had to control the TV with the tiny and hard-to-see buttons on the set. That was a problem because the room was poorly lit. There was only one room light at the entry door, as well as a bedside table lamp, but the corner with the TV was dark. The thermostat didn't adjust, and it was quite cold that night. The bed had only a fitted bottom sheet, but no top sheet or blankets. I ended up sleeping in my coat. A different room might have been OK, but I didn't get a good night's sleep.
