When we booked they did not make us aware of renovations that were going on as well as not having a functioning TV although there was one in the room. The construction was very loud and the room is not noise proof. It was also hot in the room and the AC did not work. I would not stay here again!

The headquarters for Porsche and Mercedes-Benz have lent the city its reputation as the "Cradle of the Automobile," but you'll see more than just fancy cars speeding along the autobahn from up above. Purchasing airfare to Stuttgart will land you at the international Stuttgart Airport (STR), and flights to Stuttgart give you a panoramic view of what makes it unique among German cities—its setting among verdant valleys and hillside vineyards.
Transportation from STR
Stuttgart hotels in the central city provide an excellent home base for exploring the city and the surrounding region. STR is a twenty-minute drive from here, and many hotels have airport shuttles, which can be the most convenient mode of transportation into town. The airport hosts a 24-hour taxi service, which you can even book in advance. Alternatively, buses are a cheap option that will get you to Stuttgart in only slightly more time than taxis. There are several routes to bring you to different parts in and around the city, of course, you'll have to choose based on where you're going. Both taxis and buses are located outside of the Terminal 1 arrivals area. The train is another viable option, as the airport is connected to the city center by the S-bahn, specifically Lines S2 and S3, which will bring you to Stuttgart Central Station. The train terminal is located on the first level of Terminal 1. A final option is to rent a car and take on the autobahn yourself! To do this, head over to the arrivals level in Terminal 3.
