Where to stay in Marbella

With a nice range of 6,518 properties up for grabs on Travelocity, you can afford to be a little bit picky in Marbella. But remember — the sooner you lock in your room, the faster you can focus on organizing those adventures you've been dreaming about.

After a big day of exploring, there's nothing better than coming home to a luxury suite. The Hotel Fuerte Marbella and the Apartamentos Princesa Playa are some of our favorite luxury properties to consider here. That being said, you don't plan a trip away to stay in your room all week. If you've been looking for a more economical option, try the Hotel Don Alfredo or the InHouse Marbella Hostel.

Places to visit in Marbella

Take some time out to admire the historical and cultural splendor of Orange Square, an important piece of the area's history. Want some more ideas? Marbella Marina is a well-known local marina. Inquire for information on visiting if you'd like to enjoy some time there. But there's more. Clear your mind as you focus on the seabirds' songs all around you at Venus Beach.

How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Marbella

These clever tips about airport security checks will save you lots of time on your journey to Marbella:

  • Make sure you know the whereabouts of your travel ID and boarding pass. You don't want to hold up the queue when you're asked to hand them over.
  • Wallets, USB sticks and mobile phones should be put in a tub for X-raying. If you walk into the body scanner with any one of these items, you'll be turned around and requested to remove them.
  • All laptops need to be taken out of their cases and placed in a tray prior to being X-rayed.
  • Lip balm, toothpaste and other toiletry items in liquid, gel or cream form need to be stored in containers no larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters). They must also fit in a 1-quart (1-liter) clear zip-lock bag.
  • Consider the type of footwear you want to travel in. Slippers are great because they're easy to step out of for the airport security checks. Try wearing some on your next flight!
  • Some countries have stringent biosecurity laws. Think about where you're off to and whether or not it's permissible to travel with fresh fruit and meat.
