How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Kilkenny

These useful tips about airport security checks will save you plenty of time on your way to Kilkenny:

  • Keep your boarding pass and travel ID in an easily accessible place. They'll be the first things you'll be instructed to produce by airport security.
  • Coins, belts and mobile phones must be put in a bin for X-raying. If you walk into the body scanner with any of these items, you'll be turned back and instructed to remove them.
  • All laptops must be taken out of their cases and placed in a tub before going through the X-ray machine.
  • When you approach the security checkpoint, you'll be asked to place all creams, gels and liquids in a separate bin for scanning. Make sure they're all packed in containers no larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and sealed in a clear zip-lock bag.
  • The airport security may instruct you to take off your shoes for the body scanner. Pick a pair that come off easily. There's nothing more irritating than having to do up your laces again and again.
  • Put any multi-tools or other pointy items inside your checked luggage. Security won't allow these on the aircraft.
