The hosts are very dear people. The modest room was clean offering internet, television and hot water..i slept comfortably on the soft bed. Cooling is a ceiling fan & in tge cement building is more than adequate even in the summer heat.

Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal! All international flights to Kathmandu are directed through the Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in the east of the city. Transportation From KTM
There are many cheap hotels in Kathmandu clustered just outside the airport gates. For travelers exhausted after their Kathmandu flights and ready to drop straight into bed, these are an ideal option. If you're going farther, be aware that some hotels offer transfers. If you've arranged this, you can identify your driver by his sign. A prepaid taxi service with set rates is available, or you can take your chances haggling with the scrum of taxi drivers just outside the barricade. It's all part of the experience! If none of these options appeal, there's also a bus that picks passengers up at the airport gate. It's an adventure, especially for first-time travelers, but hey, it's cheap!
