We had an excellent stay at the Saxony Motel. The staff was friendly and attentive. We came to Chatham to visit Underground Railroad sites. Our first stop was just minutes away - Chatham‑Kent Black Historical Society & Black Mecca Museum The motel was well priced and suited our needs perfectly.

Never cleaned the room. Dirty shower hair and bathtub. Everything needed to be cleaned dusted washed. Called and they sent the cleaner and she wiped some things down. Still hair in shower bathtub and place is still not that much cleaner but doable. Too much dust aswell. The window was disgusting. Asked for the window to be washed as it was filthy with hands and smudges. I do not recommend this hotel for families with kids. Drunks yelling, swearing outside while they sit and smoke. Cleaniness is important to me when i stay at any hotel. This hotel isn't for us due to uncleaniness and drunks.

Clean but basic

There was a crack in the door of about an inch and a half. There was no place to hang a towel in the bathroom. The door didn't have a double lock, bolt, or chain. We appreciated the refrigerator.

I have stayed several times ar this hotel. My rooms have always been clean and the staff is excellent. There is also a free continental breakfast in the mornings which is a nice touch.

I think besides Quality Inn which is a higher class stay anywhere Saxony Motel is the best motel in Chatham! The cleanliness and customer service is top notch! Definitely recommend for business stays or family trips!
