Delightful place to stay
We had an overnight stay in Chartres during our drive through France and were delighted with this charming B&B. Sylvie is a charming host, we had a friendly welcome and recommendations for where to eat and which bits of the light show to see. We had the loft room, very clean and comfortable with interesting display cabinet of old cameras and lots of books. Plentiful hot water and good shower (always important when travelling!!) and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is eaten in a small communal kitchen area (which is available to guests throughout their stay) delicious croissants, breads, yogurt and home made jams - lots to eat. There is a fridge where guests can store any foodstuffs that need to be kept cool and Sylvie also re-froze our ice blocks overnight so we were able to keep our picnic fresh for next day. Sylvie is a delightful host, it was lovely to chat with her and a fellow guest over breakfast. We'd definitely recommend this lovely place, just a five minute amble into the town,

Overnight stop en route to our property
I requested parking as I have visited Chartres before. On arrival I was told there was none booked. The room we were given was on the top floor so several stairs to climb which was not suitable for us. The room was acceptable but smallish for a double. The lady tried and found us parking nearby which was good. Breakfast was very good but I was unable to eat so she packed something for me to take. The road in front was blocked by scaffolding...not the fault of the lady ofcourse.The light show at the cathedral was amazing.

Charming Chambre d’hôtes in Chartres Old Town
Good location: in the old town; 5 mInutes’ walk to the Catheral. Nice room on the top floor with complete privacy. Great proprietor: Fabrice and Sylvie were super nice and warm in making sure we were comfortable with our stay. Simple but quality breakfast. Parking was not available on the promise but Fabrice showed us a public parking place which was not far and was free.

Absolutely lovely place to get full “French experience”. Property is in a ~16th century building (so not for those that can’t manage stairs or tight spaces) but it is beautiful and located in a quiet neighborhood in easy walking distance of multitude of sites. The host is both a pleasure to talk with as well as helpful on things to do/see and how to get there.
