Lovely, quiet apartment in Chambéry
We stayed for 10 days in this nice one-bedroom apartment just eight minutes from the old town in Chambery. The apartment block is set among mature, evergreen trees, situated on a hill overlooking the Château. The unit is on the first floor, which made stair-climbing easy, but there was a bit of apprehension about access from the outside through the windows. Fortunately, there were shutters that we could close when we were not at home. During the day, we looked out on lovely flowered gardens and heard many songbirds.
The apartment was well appointed, with a well-stocked kitchen (a sharp knife would have been nice, however), so we prepared meals and settled in when not out and about town.
Madame Lateur met us upon arrival. We were able to park off street which was a huge bonus.
All in all, we would return, if the opportunity presented itself!
