Nice property. Great breakfasts! I realize it is early 1900s property, but there is no elevator to the 3rd floor - would have been nice to know prior to booking. Two 60-lb suitcases get very heavy by the time you get up or down. Took 3 trips each time, for all the gear. The bedroom ("Azalea"?) was nice but the bathroom has lots of peeling paint and plaster. I don't recommend they offer this room until bathroom is refinished. Coasters for the table tops would be much appreciated, otherwise put glass surface on top of the furniture. It was hard to keep sweating glasses from dripping onto the table/desk.

Had a fantastic stay. Was very lovely. A beautiful place to stay lots to do. Can’t wait to go back. The owner’s are very welcoming very friendly. Was relaxing environment peaceful place to visit. Many rooms to choose from. Has very thing you would want in a bed and breakfast.

Gettysburg Week

Pros: The refrigerator and other amenities were appreciated.
Cons: Sufficient washcloths on hand without having to ask for them; it seemed an inconvenience.
Location: We selected Chambersburg over Gettysburg with just a half-hour drive between the cities. The "Rita" had delicious custard ice cream!
The breakfasts were plentiful and creative. Our hosts were congenial people who made us welcome. The weather had been too wet to fully appreciate the natural area. On the negative side, the shower was a puny flow of water which never seemed hot. After a long day, I so looked forward to a relaxing shower. This was our first B & B experience, so we have nothing to compare it to. The price was reasonable for the accommodation.
