The room visit was excellent, the service and cleanliness were excellent, but if you don't have transportation, it's very difficult to get a taxi, and the taxi is very expensive. Just to get to the hotel, it's about a 5-minute drive and you'll pay about $60. You can walk if you like, it's about 20 minutes. The descent is fine, but the climb will be very tiring.

Everything was great until we realized it was not the room we reserved. The room was half the size. The next morning they were cleaning the one room we reserved and paid for. We told the morning manager but she didn’t seem to care much and blamed an electronic glitch. Out of all the places we reserved , it was the only one we had an issue with. The staff was very friendly but the manager was not very friendly. About parking, good luck. The staff parks at the free spots and the manager tells you to go park in paying car park and tells you to wake up for 8 am and go pay….i am more annoyed paying extras for the large room and seeing someone else got it. Small hotel so you reserve and pay for the actual room you reserve. I wish they refunded me a portion for the inconvenience because some paid less and got our large room.

Charming small hotel

This was a charming little hotel. Staff weee very helpful. Room was a bit small but nice enough. The ability to open the window was very nice. Breakfast was really good - had the best cappuccino ever!

This property should be 4* at a minimum. Fabulous location overlooking Lake Como with stunning views, nestled away in the hill side of Cernobbio. The room was a great size. Bedside lighting which provides for a cosy retreat in the evening. Bathroom was perfect and great shower. I really couldn’t ask for more. I dined in the restaurant below in the evening and had some authentic, delicious food, served by incredibly hospitable waiters. Breakfast in the morning had a range of pastries , fresh yogurt, cereal and fruits. The lady at breakfast was pleasant and friendly- such exceptional service. I have made myself a promise to bring my family to Lake Come one day and will certainly be booking this incredible hotel. To the staff and all involved with the restaurant and hotel, thank you for the wonderful experience.

We had such an amazing stay! We were in room 10, which has a perfect view of lake como. The rooms are simple but they have everything you could need. The walk to the property from the main bus stop in Cernobbio is no joke with a suitcase. It is a hard walk but it is so worth it! Or maybe worth getting a taxi from town! The restaurant downstairs is incredible! The food and service was perfect. We felt so welcomed and taken care of.

Lake Como is not designed to handle as many people that are there. It's packed, not peaceful and Italy has generally a very large population density so it's not a calm place. I found Italian men to be arrogant, rude and slightly racist. This property was not suitable for my needs, I paid for it and never used it and instead checked in to another hotel. The room was small, there a stale smell, the noise from the downstairs restaurant travelled upstairs and the male waiters were very rude to me... So I left, paid them and never used the accommodation. Shame because I think the 2 ladies there had a nice energy and they don't look happy stuck there with the some of the men they probably have to work with. The mountain roads are stressful to drive around with hair pin turns - however the location is excellent. All in all, I would never go back to Italy.

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. They made us feel right at home. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking! Not to mention, the restaurant had amazing food and drink. Will definitely want to stay here again on our next trip to Lake Como!

Convenient stay on lake como

Nice location in cernobbio, convenient since we had a car and we were able to find free parking spots nearby. The hotel’s restaurant is good for dining and one can get a table with a view if lucky, but the breakfast -taking place in the same restaurant- is a bit basic. The staff was not really welcoming and our room was specifically small (we were barely able to open our carry on). I think we could have deserved to be given a larger room since we noticed the rooms next to us were free during our stay. Overall the price/value is aligned with what one can find and pay on lake como.

The property is very basic in regards to the amenities offered, the breakfast is very scarce and the overall is very outdated. The only good thing was the restaurant at night. It has nothing to do with the hotel old vibes, in the contrary the restaurant is very vibrant
