The staff couldnt have been more helpful or friendly. The evening meal and breakfast both very nice. But the property needs serious investment, the communal areas all need a tidy up and a clean. None of the radiators worked or had been switched on and the bedroom was only warm when under the covers on the bed. Had to ask for toilet roll for the room amd towels for the room - got one of each and then the shower spat at you with luke warm water. Could be fantastic, probably was once, but wouldn't go back sadly.

Overnight at Ernespie

Overnight stay. Due to our own problems could not check in arriving after 12mn very good instructions to gain entry and directions to room. Breakfast made to order delicious and plentiful. Hotel is tierd in places but room was modern obviously newly updated. Bed very comfortable family are improving areas all the time. Well worth a visit if you are coming to Castle Douglas.
