Walking distance to the little town of Carlton and several tasting rooms. We enjoyed the property and it’s closeness to McMinnville and surrounding area. Great spot as a location to explore Willamette Valley.

A wonderful spot

We loved the property, from its location to its amenities. The recommendations for nearby tasting rooms and restaurants were spot on (and several were within walking distance). And the little touches - the little soaps, the wine and snacks - were lovely. Also, kudos for having a real coffee maker, not just a Keurig! We appreciated having a fresh pot of coffee in the morning after tasting all that wine!

Great place for a quick getaway in wine country

This is a gem. Great location in a quiet town. Communication with the host was excellent. They were very clear with check in details. We enjoyed our time in Carlton and will return again soon.

Perfect Honeymoon in the Willamette Valley!

We had a perfect Honeymoon in the valley with Lifestyle Properties. It was exactly what we wanted - a cute place that was very cozy and in a great spot. We walked down to the Winemakers Studio, explored downtown Carlton, and enjoyed all the connections that come with Lifestyle Properties - like an excellent tour with Pinot Car! We will absolutely be staying with Lifestyle again.

Charge for every extra item

They misrepresented sleeping accommodation and wouldn’t fulfill once we got there. Furniture was old and couch had numerous cracks in it. Numerous outlet’s wouldn’t work. Otherwise place was clean.

Great little place in a terrific location

The little duplex is cute and had everything we needed. Plus it is across the street from one winery and a block from a winemakers studio. Pretty sweet! The town is a couple minutes down the road, where there are more wine tasting options plus food.

Wine Getaway

This charming place is perfectly located on the edge of Carlton across from Cana's Feast winery and close to the town of Carlton, a 5 minute drive. It is beautifully decorated with a Wine theme. Meticulous rooms, kitchen and bathroom with a lovely deck out back. We look forward to coming again.

Great location but place needs updating

I’m reluctant to give this review since the new property management company apparently plans to update the place. That said, our experience was just so-so. Most everything was in working order (although the wifi was out for the duration of our trip), but the appliances and furnishings are dated and the beds are squishy. The place could also use a deep clean. The location can’t be beat, very close to the from the Winemakers Studio, Cana’s Feast, and an easy walk to downtown Carlton, so that was a major plus.

Small but satisfactory cottage with noise issues

Small but satisfactory cottage with noise issues. We found the cottage to be a satisfactory rental for our 40-day visit to Oregon. Inside the cottage was clean and ready for our arrival however the grill literally caught on fire because it was so dirty and clearly had not been cleaned in a long time (it’s clean and safe now that we cleaned it and replaced the moldy grill brush with a new one). The cottage is small but well laid out with a comfortable queen bed, decent bath, and adequate living room furniture (keep off the rickety rocking chair). The kitchen is very small and better suited for a weekend stay than a long term rental. The outdoor space is very nice and private and the carport very handy. The cottage is conveniently located for visiting the surrounding wineries and other more interesting Oregon attractions (Silver Falls, Columbia River, Tillamook, Pacific Coast, Mt Hood, etc.). There is not much of anything in the town of Carlton itself but McMinnville is an easy, short drive away and has everything you should need. There are a few thing to be aware of with this rental. Surprisingly the street noise in front of the cottage is loud and constant from about 5am to 5pm (semis, other trucks, excessively loud cars, motorcycles, and the such). This caught us by surprise since Carlton is such a small town in a rural location but the traffic noise is loud and non-stop. Also be aware that if you are here when the lawn service arrives, expect to be awakened by 7am. That’s a bit too early for lawn service to start. Overall this was a fine rental for our stay in Oregon. The issues with the cottage were not so problematic as to ruin out stay and it did make a convenient home base for exploring the area although I do think it is better suited for short term stays.
