Staff never there. Homeless vagrants congregating in the doorway causing noise all night. Room tired. Cheap toilet paper. Tiny bath towels. Room red hot! Simply awful

Whilst previous reviews are correct in that the hotel is "tired" that aside the room facilities were fine, the shower was good, a switch next to the bed to switch off the main light (often there isnt one), adequate lighting and adjustable heating, tea coffee and a kettle and a comfy bed with 2 decent pillows so all round very good value for its position in Carlisle. Defo use again if in area.

Horrific experience. Loud extractor fan, going 24/7. Smell of fried food cooked in year old fat. Block off window in room by single wooden board and pigeons sit on the other side making noise. Eastern block check point to enter rooms (go through an office door to get in watch by reception and leave rooms via hotel style doors). No signed to get to website advertised café bar. Dust on the walls Questionable bedsit bed with marks Bathroom titled by someone learning to tile and fixtures worn out. People opening exit doors on metal fire stairs making lots of noise. Loose floorboards. Noisy antisocial guests.

The room could do wish a refresh, but for the price, it was acceptable. The bed was comfortable, but the bedroom door was very heavy to open, and I couldn't understand why the main bedroom light switch was on the wall behind the door, which when first entering the room you can't see because the door is in the way. Staff were lovely but the lift wasn't working. Good location, close to the train station and town.

The 1st room sucked it was on the 3rd floor im seventy five and the elevator was always stuck on the 2nd floor 🙃. The moved me to a 1st floor and gave me a complimentary breakfast 🙃..There was no safety lock on the door also the toilet took several flushes before it flushed very annoying. The location was good for me.
