Great Location for the Normandy Beaches

Excellent property, well located near Utah Beach but no more than a hour to the furthest one (Sword). Communication in advance and check in was perfect, Georges is extremely helpful. The house is immaculately clean, and well appointed. Very rural, no bars/restaurants in walking distance, but we knew that from the listing and enjoyed the peace and quiet. If we come back to Normandy we would happily stay here again.

Perfect in every way

From start to finish this cottage was perfect and genuinely there was not one fault. Both my daughter and I are very much into the history of D-Day and also WWII in general and we could not have been better located for all aspects of this. The cottage is on the outskirts of a small town meaning it's close to amenities etc but away from the hussle and bussle of a town. Close to Utah Beach and an easy drive to all other landing beaches and other places such as Bayeux. The owners and the manager they employ to run the house are really kind and good people who do everything they can to enable guests to have the best stay possible. I really can't recommend this cottage enough it's just perfect.

An absolute gem

We had a lovely stay in this property. Georges who met us is a sweetheart. The place was spotless, comfortable and in a peaceful location. Little extras like washing up liquid, washing detergent and oil and mustard in the kitchen made such a difference. Games, Internet and info on D-Day were all there too. Highly recommend

80th Normandy Anniversary

Very pleased with our stay. Very clean and well maintained. We had a slight communication issue with the property manager but used a translation app to work through it. The villa is centrally located and very quiet. I would highly recommend this location.

GĂźte charmant et confortable

Joli gĂźte, bien dĂ©corĂ© et trĂšs propre. Nous avons Ă©tĂ© trĂšs bien accueillis par Georges. La maison mitoyenne Ă©tait vide donc pas de nuisance sonore. TrĂšs belle vue sur les marais et les oiseaux. Points nĂ©gatifs : chauffage Ă©lectrique mis le matin de notre arrivĂ©e, il a fallu plusieurs plusieurs jours pour avoir une chaleur confortable. Le poĂȘle Ă  bois Ă©tait cassĂ©. Nous aurions aimĂ© avoir l'information en amont car nous avons rĂ©servĂ© ce gĂźte justement pour cet Ă©quipement. NĂ©anmoins mon conjoint a rĂ©ussi Ă  rĂ©parer temporairement le tirage et avons pu profiter de 2 ou 3 feux durant la semaine. Un bĂ©mol donc pour la prĂ©cision de l'annonce et information/communication en amont. DĂ©part trop tĂŽt pour nous (max 10h) mais le logement Ă©tant a priori louĂ© le mĂȘme jour nous respectons ce dĂ©lai pour le mĂ©nage Ă  faire mĂȘme si nous avons laissĂ© le gĂźte au plus propre possible.

Nous avons passé un agréable sejour dans le Cotentin.. gßte propre et agréable. Un extérieur entretenu, accueillant. Rien ne manque. Merci à Justine pour son accueil. Gßte, idéalement bien situé pour visiter le musée du debarquement d'utah Beach, ste MÚre Eglise, carentan, st Vast, cherbourg a 30 min avec la visite de la cité de la mer.

Maison trÚs agréable.

Maison bien Ă©quipĂ©e et bien dĂ©corĂ©e, il ne manque rien. Les extĂ©rieurs sont trĂšs agrĂ©ables et trĂšs bien entretenus. Nous avons Ă©tĂ© bien reçus par Justine. La proximitĂ© de la voie rapide permet de facilement visiter le Cotentin, la prĂ©sence d’une Ă©picerie dans le village permet d’aller chercher son pain Ă  pied ou Ă  vĂ©lo. En cherchant un peu, il est Ă©galement possible d’aller Ă  Carentan et Ă  Utah Beach Ă  vĂ©lo tout en Ă©vitant les axes routiers. La seule petite ombre au tableau est que la maison est mitoyenne et que les voisins ne semblent pas le savoir. Il faisait trĂšs beau, eux comme nous vivions dehors, heureusement que le grand jardin arborĂ© nous a permis de nous Ă©loigner un peu pour retrouver le calme des lieux. Ils ne sont pas restĂ©s sur la totalitĂ© de notre sĂ©jour, la deuxiĂšme semaine a Ă©tĂ© plus agrĂ©able.

TrĂšs bien situĂ© pour visiter les sites de la seconde guerre. Le musĂ©e situĂ© tout prĂšs est trĂšs bien et plaĂźt aux enfants, Ă  faire absolument avec toute les attractions, permet une bonne introduction au sĂ©jour et connaĂźtre l’historique des Ă©vĂ©nements du lieu.
