We return to this property every year for the Cannes Film Festival and every year the embrace we receive from the team is so appreciated. They are masters of hospitality and always make you feel like a VIP guest. The hotel is walking distance to La Croisette, in a wonderful central area and yet you're just far enoigh from the chaos to feel like you're on holiday. I can't applaud the Sun Riviera team more. Merci mes amis. See you next year

Sweet Old-fashioned Hotel

I have stayed at Sun Riviera 3 times, and love it’s quaint French feel. The staff are friendly, especially Louis on reception, and the rooms are clean & comfortable. My only complaint it that breakfast is rather meagre, and there’s no fresh coffee, only a machine. Great value-for-money though!

Great location in Cannes

Very conveniently located on the main shopping street and close to the beach. Clean, comfortable room. Only problem was that the pillows were very flat so not so comfortable.

Conveniently located Cannes hotel

The hotel was in a perfect location - right on the main shopping street of Cannes - rue d’Antibes and only minutes from the beach. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Only the pillows were the flattest I’ve ever seen so not that comfortable. There’s a beautiful grassy back yard with a small swimming pool and loungers but there was a sign saying no swimming allowed. Perhaps due to Covid but I had just stayed at another hotel in Cannes where swimming in the pool was permitted.

Good central location. Excellent hotel staff who were very helpful. Room on the 2nd floor with balcony overlooking the garden and pool. Very comfortable room with excellent air con. Will be staying again.

We had a great stay and the location was perfect. I told the front desk manager that I found a cheaper rate online than she was able to offer me in person and she told me I was required to forward my booking email, which I thought was weird. However, the hotel itself was great. Shower was incredible after staying for a week in cramped showers.

Great location in the middle of Cannes.

I would have rated the hotel higher but the lift was out of order on the second day of my trip and I had to take the stairs for 4 floors which didn't suit me at all following surgery on my back. The breakfast selection was quite poor for the 18 euro price tag. My room was very quiet and the bed was super comfortable.

Clean hotel in a good location

The hotel is dated but very clean. The air con in the room was poor so we didnt sleep well during our stay, we were too hot. The bed and linen however were clean and good quality. The odd empty bottle of wine and water were left on our terrace for days and used wine glasses had not been removed or washed and replaced so we were left with dirty glasses in our room for most of the stay. It’s not a huge issue it’s just that the overall comfort of our stay was lacking as a result. Also our key cards kept failing to work so we would have to keep going down to reception for them to reissue the keys. Most days. Great location and nice pool outside. Very clean hotel and nice staff.
