DISCLOSURES:
Effective August 15, 2026, Fire Mountain Lodge will be managed by a Local Operations Company. All reservations checking in prior to August 15th will be handed by Rockies Rentals, as normal. All reservation checking in after August 15th will be handled by the new operations company.
Throughout this transition, and beyond, Rockies Rentals will still take reservations and provide visitor information. The Operations Companies will take care of day-to-day tasks (like Cleaning, Maintenance, and Onsite Guest Assistance).
During this transition, the property is set to "Requests Only". This is so we can ensure there isn't a double booking while we link all of the online listings. If a dreaded double-booking occurs, don't worry. It means that one of the two overlapping Guests is getting a complimentary upgrade. Both Rockies Rentals and the New Operations Companies are highly committed to Guest Service -- that's why we decided to work together, to make visitor experiences better in Canmore!

Our group had a great time. The space was exactly as pictured but bigger than we expected. The beds were also larger than we expected and quite comfortable. Our only complaint was the hot tub was closed for repairs during our stay.

Cozy walkable accomodation

The accommodation for our family of 4, including 2 teens who won't share a bed, was very comfortable. Good kitchen setup so we didn't have to eat out every night. When we did eat out there were some fantastic walkable locations only a few minutes away. And the town center strip is also only 10 minutes away. 4 minutes to a bus stop that will take you anywhere in Canmore for free, or out to Banff/Lake Louise for a small fee. We did have a vehicle and parking was VERY tight. We needed to do some acrobatics to get into our car twice, and once had to park a quarter mile away over night. So... IF you have some physical limitations you might not find this the best option (the accommodations are all on second floor walk-up too). Otherwise, service by this company was above and beyond what I've ever experienced so I'm still giving 5 stars in spite of those minor inconveniences. They even helped with planning out our stay. Great company!
