del Lago Resort & Casino
"The hotel was lovely! The Lobby was welcoming , the check in clerk was very friendly, and it was easy to get to the room. Elevator access is with room key only, so that was nice! The room was beautiful! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and very well appointed. There is a makeup table in the room, coffee station, and refrigerator. There is no valet service for parking. The casino was nice, but not as well kept as the hotel. We had dinner at Portico, the high end restaurant. THAT was a complete disaster! The ambiance is incredible, but that’s where it ends. Our server was friendly, but overwhelmed with the fewer than 10 tables of 2 that evening. I have food allergies and generally eat at high end restaurants because they can accommodate me. Let’s just say that a restaurant that boasts a wine list who’s average price of a bottle of red wine is $300 - they have 1 bottle for $1580 - should be able to provide food that isn’t prepackaged and frozen. Think Stouffer’s or Marie Callander’s. All the sauces and sides had artificial ingredients and corn starch- an allergy of mine. An hour after being seated, I finally ended up with a Caesar salad $16 and a filet mignon $57. The steak was burned on the outside and completely raw in the middle. I’d ordered medium rare. I’d have take a picture, but the server IMMEDIATELY removed it and said she’d send over the manager. 15 minutes later, the manager showed up, hadn’t even looked at it and begrudgingly removed the charge."
