We went on our first family vacation in years... We are from Pittsburgh, and I decided to go to Lake Erie during the "great heat wave". Well, we decided to stay here, which is about a 45 minute drive to the lake. The pictures need updated to include some summer photos, it looks a lot different with all the trees grown in. It was really peaceful. There is a pond on the property. My kids and I enjoyed looking in to see the (loud) frogs and fish. Inside, there is an open floor plan. The couches were comfy. The kitchen, where I spent a lot of time, has a lot of the basic needs for cooking. They have a gas grill on the back deck. The beds were too soft for me... I felt like I was sleeping on a waterbed. They have ACs in all the bedrooms. There was an issue with the toilet... on the first night, water shot out from the valve, leaving water all over the bathroom floor. We cleaned it up, of course, and turned the valve down to reduce the pressure. I texted Nick who responded right away (it was late). His wife and the maintenance man came the next morning to fix it. Apparently, there was a crack in the valve, and the whole thing needed replaced. His wife apologized and bought us 2 bottles of wine and a case of beer, which was appreciated. They do have a washer and dryer, which came in handy after our day at the beach. They also have a lot of cleaning products, mops, brooms, rags, etc. As a mom of 4, I really appreciated this! Made cleanup easy! And they also have a high-chair for those of us who have smaller kids (I have an 18 month-old). The older kids really liked the house and asked for us to come back, which we will in the winter time. Overall, a great place!
