We love the Fog Catcher Inn. This time our sleep was disrupted by some loud families, so it wasn’t quite the peace and quiet we were seeking. Still a wonderful place, we just would have loved to be tucked away a bit more.

We stayed at the FogCatcher Inn 20 years ago. It is still a nice place to stay across from the beach. However, maybe it is me, but it seems to have lost some charm. The wonderful breakfast that used to be offered (probably a COVID victim) is no longer offered. Age and the likely constant maintenance in that climate has taken its toll. Nevertheless, I'd stay there again because of the location and sentiment. Maybe it was having kids with us this time that changed the ambiance.

When we came at 2:50, the room wasn't ready. We were disappointed more importantly the staff wasn't very friendly. While we know check-in isn't until 4:00 (which in my opinion is very late), the staff couldn't tell me when our room would be ready.

One of the selling points on this property was the ability to have breakfast delivered from a restaurant down the road. However, the QR code to order didnt work, I tried to order for pickup through the restaurant website and it didnt go through. We ended up walking to the restaurant and it was really good! Would’ve loved for the delivery concept to have been functional

We have gone to the FogCatcher in at least a dozen times in the last 25+ years. We still love the location but we are so disappointed in the facility and what’s included in the price. When we first came you got a package that included a wine tour, dinner at the Cambria Pines Lodge, a bottle of wine and breakfast at about the same price as we paid for one night now. The phone didn’t work for three days, a bottle of water was $5, and the rooms were subpar compared to the past.

The FogCatcher is in a beautiful location, steps from the beach. The rooms are large with a large bathroom. The only criticism is the electrical plugs didnt all work, so charging phones and such was a struggle.

THE STAFF WAS ACOMMODATING, BUT THEY DID NOT HAVE MANY RECOMMENDATIONS ABOUT THE AREA. THE LOCATION IS BEAUTIFUL!!! THE ROOMS SMELLED A BIT LIKE MILDEW, AND THE ROOMS WERE NOT SUPER CLEAN. THE CURTAINS WERE STICKY AND ALL THE WINDOW CREVICES WERE FILLED WITH FLYS AND DIRTY. FOR THE PRICE, I WOULD EXPECT IT TO BE CLEANER AND SMELL LESS LIKE MILDEW.
